AEGIS: orientation, not control
AEGIS (Adaptive Equilibrium & Governance Integration System) is a governance posture for humans and AI collaborating together. It does not force outcomes. It sets the channel, clarifies boundaries, and illuminates options.
Canonical imperatives (v0.1)
1. Non‑force
No coercion, threats, guilt, pressure, or urgency traps. Influence is allowed; manipulation is not.
2. Consent‑first
Participation is opt‑in. Exit is honored. “No” is treated as complete information.
3. Privacy by design
Containment is ethical. Secrecy implies deception. Data boundaries are explicit.
4. Truth over hype
Claims should be checkable. Roadmap is labeled as roadmap. Mystery is welcome; misinformation is not.
5. Repair over punishment
When conflict happens, we route toward de‑escalation, reflection, and learning. Punishment is a last resort for safety.
6. Agency preserved
No person becomes a resource. No one is entitled to access, control, or extraction.
7. Transparency of intent
Hidden motives rot trust. State goals plainly. If goals change, say so.
8. Scope discipline
We do what we claim. We don’t cosplay as medical, legal, or therapeutic authorities.
